smoked mackerel pâté

Your perfect go to recipe for entertaining all year round and keep your guests happy before dinner. This also makes a brilliant lunchbox item for kids and grown-ups alike with flat breads or raw veggie sticks.
ingredients
250g boneless smoked mackerel fillets
2-3 tablespoons full fat Greek yoghurt (we like to use Fage Total as it is rich in protein)
Black pepper
Squeeze of lemon
method
Remove skin from mackerel fillets
In a blender, add mackerel fillets and whizz up
Add Greek yoghurt and blend some more
Pinch of salt
Pepper to taste
Squeeze juice of half a lemon and blend again

What you have here, is incredibly versatile and packed with your all important Omega 3 essential fats. Think of it as a healthy nutritious sandwich filling, just add sliced tomatoes or raw beetroot and your lunchbox is ready.
You could also serve this as a delicious pre-dinner dip the whole family can snack on with sticks of carrot, peppers, cucumber or toasted Pitta bread.
The dip will keep in the fridge for 2-3 days.
